Squadron Leader Albert Lambert DFC & Bar (RCAF), in the company of crewmate Flight Lieutenant James Henry Foy DFC MiD (RCAF) evaded capture with the help of the French Resistance and the "Burgundy Escape Line", made their way over the Pyrenees Mountains to Spain. Lambert continued to Gibraltar and was safe back in the UK 1943-11-30
