625 Squadron (We Avenge). Target - Vierzon Junction, France. Lancaster aircraft JB 743 caught fire in the air, exploded and crashed at StPierre-deJards. Sgts. C.O. McMillan, J.W. Fraser, FS J.A. McHutchion, Sergeants F.N. Allen (RAF), F. Dickinson (RAF), and Pilot Officer H. Hale (RAAF) were also killed. These seven airmen were all buried in the same collective grave.
