57 Squadron (Corpus Non Animum Muto). Lancaster aircraft ED 766 was shot down near Darmstadt, Germany during night operations over enemy territory. WO.s J.H. Lemon, G.R. Holm, R.G. Griffin, P/O. D.O. McMahon, and two RAF members of the crew were also killed.
