Aircraft took off from Full Sutton, around midday, to take part in a fighter affiliation exercise.

At 14:30 the aircraft broke up and dived into the ground near Kirby Underdale killing all on board. Control had been lost while making a tight turn which led to the aircraft breaking up in the air.
