10 Squadron (Rem Acu Tangere). Halifax aircraft MZ 826 crashed seven miles north of Aalborg, Denmark during a mine-laying operation. Squadron Leader S.W. Hart (RAF), P/Os W. Jardine (RAF), R.H. Porter (RAF), A.L. Slatter (RAF), and Sergeant F.B. Sheard (RAF) were also killed. One Canadian, Flight Lieutenant W.R. Parks was an Evader, although he was wounded he returned via Sweden to the United Kingdom on October 28, 1944.
