Took off from Foulsham at 17:16 in Halifax Mk III (Sqn code: DT-S Bomber Command) on a raid to Berlin.

Badly shot about by a night- fighter and in the ensuing chaos flew into the tail of another Lancaster (unidentified) which was last seen going down out of control. Abandoned the aircraft .
