45 Group RAF Transport Command Catalina Ib aircraft FP 138 from Darrell's Island, Bermuda. The pilot became disoriented in adverse weather conditions and he was diverting to Plymouth because of poor weather at destination Largs, Scotland. The plane was attacked by German Luftwaffe fighter planes and crashed off the coast near Plouguemeau, Department Finistere, France.
