76 Squadron (Resolute). Halifax aircraft MZ 740 missing during a daylight attack against St Vith, Belgium. F/Os G. Floyd, R.H. Emerson, FS O.F. Newton, Pilot Officer A.B. Clark, Sergeant J.S. Gray (RAF), and Warrant Officer T.R.W. Smith (RAF) were also killed. One Canadian, FS Mason, was taken Prisoner of War.
