425 Alouette Squadron (Je Te Plumerai). The crew of Halifax aircraft NA 581 were engaged in a cross-country flight and were flying at 4,000 feet when their aircraft suddenly went into a dive and crashed one mile south-west of Llyth, Nottinghamshire, England. P/Os L. Snider, E.F. Pitkin, P.P. Davies, J.J. Pigeon, M.N. Waters, and J.E. Code were also killed.
