It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. 626 Squadron (To Strike And Not To Yield). Lancaster aircraft ft PB 411 missing from a trip to Lutzkendorf, Germany. F/Os M.F. Sergeant, D.H. Johnson, H.W. Reid, and FS J.W. Churms were also killed. Two crew members, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Addendum: FS. N.G. Reed (RAF), and F/O. B.E.S. Stagg (RAF) were also killed.
