156 Squadron (We Light The Way), Pathfinder Force. Lancaster aircraft (JA 915) crashed.

WO Ross was a bomb aimer flying from RAF Warboys heavy bomber station, situated just outside the village of Warboys in Huntingdonshire (now Cambridgeshire), England.

He was flying on a training mission in Lancaster III serial JA915 GT-U. This a/c stalled and crashed in Green Lane in the village of Kenninghall, 7 miles NW of Diss killing all on board. (Source:Sean.Devaney
