106 Squadron (Pro Libertate). Lancaster III aircraft JB 612 ZN-U missing during night operations against Salbris, France. Flying Officer L.M. Falkins, Sgt(s) D.G. Allen (RAF), P. Friel (RAF), C. Stephenson (RAF), and A.A. Taylor (RAF) were also killed. Sergeant J.F. Smith (RAF) evaded.
