514 Squadron (Nil Obstare Potest). Lancaster aircraft LL 678 missing from a night trip to Gelsenkirchen, Germany. One Canadian, Sergeant William, was either an Evader or was taken Prisoner of War. Flying Officer J.G. Picton (RAF) and FS G.D. Savage (RAF) were also killed. Three other crew members, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
