103 Squadron (Noli Me Tangere). Halifax aircraft crashed at Cold Harbour Farm, Ludborough, Lincolnshire. FSs F.L. Hartnett, W.J. Birmingham (RAAF), and four RAF members of the crew were also killed.
Addendum: Halifax aircraft W 1218 stalled, spun in and crashed at Cold Harbour Farm, Ludborough, Lincolnshire whilst on a training flight. FS.s F.L. Hartnett, W.J. Birmingham (RAAF), and four RAF members of the crew, Sgt.s L.J. Storey, D.C. Cochrane, S.W. Stockford, and FS. S.N. Ryder were also killed.
