550 Squadron (Per lgnem Vincimus). Lancaster aircraft LM 314 was shot down over Holland during a night operation against Sterkrade, Germany. F/Os D.F. Neilson, and H.B. Brett were also killed. Five of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Addendum: . F/L. A.D. McConnell D.F.C. (RNZAF), and four RAF members of the crew, Sgt.s E.W. Webb, J.E. Legg, A.T. Paget, and J.M. McKay were also killed.
