619 Squadron. Lancaster aircraft LM 643 was lost during a night operation against the oil depot at Donges France, F/Os J.J. Kommes, R.W. Orbell (RAF), Sergeants G.H. Lucas (RAF), J.R. Scott (RAF), S. Sinclair (RAF), and Flying Officer R.W. Orbell (RAF) were also killed. One of the crew, not Canadian, missing presumed killed.
