Addendum: Lancaster aircraft W 4898 failed to return from a mine laying operation in the Baltic Sea, presumed enemy action. P/O.s R.D. Mix, 1.R. Robertson (RAAF), N.R. Gyles (RAAF), WO. M.D.B. Collenette D.F.M. (RAF), Sgt.s J. Norman (RAF), and A.W. Bond (RAF), were also killed.
