It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. 103 Squadron (Noli Me Tangere). Halifax aircraft W 12234 went down fifteen miles south of Noyon, France while returning from operations over Italy. FS R.W. Taylor (RAAF), Sergeants S.A. Claridge (RAF), S.V. Goodhew (RAF), K.W. McAuliffe (RAF), B.D. Swain (RAF), and Pilot Officer E.A. Wagstaff (RAF) were also killed.
