35 Squadron (Uno Animo Agimus), Pathfinder Force. Lancaster aircraft PB 343 was shot down near Thedinghausen, at Ried, Germany during a trip to Hanover, Germany. Flying Officer A.J. Reeder was also killed. Five of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
