61 Squadron (Per Purarn Tunantes). Lancaster aircraft R 5517 missing during a bombing raid over enemy territory. Flying Officer W.D. McCulloch, Pilot Officer J.D. McKeown (RNZAF), Sergeants S.E. Bradshaw (RAF), J.T. Fallon (RAF), and C.M. Parker (RAF) were also killed. One of the crew, not Canadian, missing presumed killed. Squadron Leader McNaughton was the son of LGen A.C.L. McNaughton. Addendum: Sgt. J.R. Dryden (RAF) was also killed.
