9 Squadron (Per Noctem Volamus). Lancaster aircraft ME 704 missing during night operations against Gelsenkirchen, Germany, Sergeant D.A. Redshaw was also killed. Two Canadians, F/Os Berry and Sheppard were taken Prisoners of War. Three members of the crew, not Canadians, missing presumed killed.
