1679 Conversion Unit, Topcliffe, Yorkshire. Lancaster aircraft DS 649, belonging to 432 Squadron, crashed at Rose Cottage Farm near Terringtop, Yorkshire, cause not known. Flying Officer R.A. Davis, Sergeant L.W. Lehman, FS R.L. Green, and two members of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed. Warrant Officer MacDonald had been slightly injured on April 11, 1943 when he abandoned a 420 Squadron Wellington aircraft over Warwick, England.
