78 Squadron (Nemo Non Paratus). Halifax aircraft LK 838 was shot down near Margraten, Holland during a night trip to Bochum, Germany. F/O. K.B. Brooks, FS.s K.C. Collins, and N.F. Jodrell were also killed. One Canadian, WO. W.C. Roach, was taken Prisoner Of War and two of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Flying Officer Pilot Love was buried in the U.S.
