408 Goose Squadron (For Freedom). Lancaster aircraft DS 797 missing during a night strike against Frankfurt, Germany. F/L. W.T. Fulton, WO. J.A. Gaboury, FS. R.L. Barr, Sgt. G.F. Thompson, F/O. F.J. King, and one RAF member of the crew were also killed. There were two 408 Squadron aircraft lost in the same area on this date. The following RAF personnel were also killed, Sgt.s J.M. Smith, R.
