It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 106 Squadron (Pro Libertate). Target - Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Lancaster aircraft LL 955 was shot down three miles north-east of Elbrug, Holland at Oosterwold. FSs G. O'Connell, W. Brownlee (RAF), D.R.N. Keith (RNZAF, Sergeants F.H. Aldridge (RAF), R. Sleep (RAF), and Pilot Officer J. Brodie (RAF) were also killed.
