77 Squadron (Esse Potius Quam Videri). Halifax aircraft LL 122 crashed at Levening, Yorkshire, England. Pilot Officer J.K. Forest and three RAF members of the crew were also killed. addendum 2: See page 315. The squadron was based at Elvington when aircraft LL 122-Y went down. Other members of the crew also killed were FS. N.C. Grobb( RAAF), P/0 G.O. Sharpe (RAF), and Sgt. L.R. Mace(RAF). Sgt. J.S. Clark (RAF) and FS. R.R&39;.J. Simpson (RNZAF) safe.
