9 Squadron (Per Noctem Volamus). Lancaster aircraft W 4379 was shot down two miles north of Zerbsthanhalt, sixty-five miles south-west of Berlin, Germany. Two Canadians, Sergeants A.G. Carswell and C.E. Clemens, and three of the crew, not Canadians, were taken Prisoners of War. One of the crew, not Canadian, missing belreved killed.
