1st Can. Divisional Cyclists attached to the RFC. Shot down.**S.L.** Dennistoun transferred to the RFC early in 1916 as an observer. He was shot down in flames on 1916-05-04 when his aircraft suffered engine trouble in flight and dropped back from the squadron. He and his pilot, Lt. Edward Gurney Ryckman, (British) were captured and made POWs, but both died of their burns and crash injuries later that day.
