100 Squadron (Sarang Tebaun Jangan Duolok). Lancaster aircraft JA 930 was shot down twenty-two miles north-east of Berlin at Wilkendorf, Germany during night operations over Berlin. Flying Officer W.A. Gardiner, two RAF members of the crew, and three of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed.
