Delivered to Europe by No. 1 Oversea Ferry Unit in February 1954, in Operation Random 1. With No. 444 (F) Squadron (4 Wing) at Baden-Soellingen, Germany in 1950s. Still with this Squadron when it crashed on 15 March 1954 as registration 23078. The crash source was suspected as caused by an inadvertent ejection at 800 feet, while making a forced landing after an engine failure. RCAF W/C F. H. Darragh AFC was killed.
