149 East India Squadron (Fortis Nocte). Stirling aircraft W 7512 went down in the sea off Kiel during operations against Rostock, Germany. Pilot Officer J.H. Thomson, Sergeant C.H. Johnston, Sergeants A.J.V. Holman (RAF), and A. Pope (RAF) were also killed. Two others of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
