Following failure of both port engines, aircraft crashed at Benestroff roughly 10 km ESE of Morhange France.
Sergeants H Gibbs (RAF), JAE Skeat (RAF), Flying Officer J McCartney (RAF), and FS JE Waltham (RAF) were killed and FS NW Brown RAF and F/O MM Holgate were made POW.
