35 (B) Sqn (RAF) RAF Linton-on-Ouse

#35 Mardras Presidency Squadron (Uno Anirno Agimus) RAF Linton-on-Ouse. Halifax I aircraft L 9572 TL-G was shot down by night fighter crew of Oberleutnant Griese & Unteroffizier Schenke of the 1/NJG 1, who were flying a Bf 110 over Belgium. The Halifax was returning from an operation against the Marshalling Yards in Dusseldorf, Germany. The bomber crashed at Grosage, Chievres, Hainaut, Belgium

Sergeant JB Anderson (RCAF) Sergeant WN Collins (RAF), Sergeant J Fuller (RAFVR), Sergeant AAS Heggie (RAFVR), Sergeant TP McHale (RAFVR), Pilot Officer J McGregor-Cheers (RAFVR), and Pilot Officer VM Markham (RAFVR) were all killed in action.
