"A" Able flying through the Eiffel Tower? (although this event likely happened, this photograph is likely fake.) It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. Pilot - W/O Bob Boorman RCAF Navigator F/S Bill Bryant RAF Flying through the Eiffel Tower."

Took off from Bottesford at 23:41 in Lancaster Mk III (Sqn code PO-N Bomber Command) on an operation to Dusseldorf Germany.

Hit by Flak and crashed at 02:09 at os-Gravenwezel Antwerp Holland 11 km ENE from the centre of Antwerp. Those killed are buried in Schoonselhof Cemetery.

POWs includes Selman: Sergeant John Patrick Egan RAF POW Stalag Luft L6 Heydekrug. Sergeant R A Hunt RAF POW Stalag 357 Kopernikus. Sergeant Norman Jardine Vaulkard RAF POW Stalag 357 Kopernikus.

467 Australia Squadron. Hit by Flak and crashed 0209 26 May 1943 at _s-Gravenwezel (Antwerpen) 11 km ENE from the centre of Antwerpen where those killed are buried in Schoonselhof Cemetery. Casualties included RAF Sgt's. T. Chalmers and B. Spencer, and RAAF Flt. Sgt. J. M. Parsons. Taken Prisoners of War were RAF Sgt's J.P. Egan, R.A. Hunt, and N.J. Vaulkhard, and RCAF Sgt. J.F. Selman.
