180 Squadron RAF (Saeviter in modo, fortiter in re) RAF Dunsfold. Mitchell II aircraft FL 685 EN-V was likely shot down by flak during an operation against V1 rocket positions at Bonnieres, France. Oddly, the rest of the squadron returned without bombing (no explanation in the ORB)

Flying Officer H R Baldwin (RCAF), Sergeant A J Guluche (RCAF), Flight Sergeant G R McGillvray (RCAF) survived and were all aided by the French Resistance but were all ultimately captured to become Prisoners of War
