159 Squadron (Quo Non Quando Paragasamu). Target - Khal-Hua-Gang, India. The crew of Liberator aircraft KH 255 were engaged in a bombing operation when their aircraft caught fire in mid-air. The aircraft crashed and the bombs exploded on impact south of Moulmein, Burma. Flight Lieutenant W.G. Schroeder, F/Os R. Talbot, R.L. McMillan, K.G. Johnson, Pilot Officer F.J. Conway, and two of the crew, not Canadians, were also killed. Flying Officer Zakow had changed his surname from Zaiczkowski.
