He succumbed to his wounds while in 47 BGH, Calcutta. Warrant Officer Class I Pilot Young was buried in the Bhawanipore Cemetery, Calcutta, India, exhumed, and reburied in the Crown Hill Cemetery at Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A.
