It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 83 Squadron (Strike To Defend), Pathfinder Force. The crew of Lancaster aircraft ED 997 were assigned to attack Krefeld, Germany and were not heard from after take-off. Six of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
