180 Squadron (Suaviter In Mode Fortiter In Re). Mitchell II aircraft FW 124 was shot down at Moulineaux, France during a night attack using GEE-H (radio navigation system) on German positions on the Seine River at Elbeuf, France. Pilot Officer D.S. Whiting, Flying Officer J.H. Bringloe, Pilot Officer A.J. Venn and Pilot Officer J.H.N. Cleminson (RAAF) were killed in the attack.(A. Storr) Addendum: - P/O. J.H.N.
