100 Squadron (Sarang Tebaun Jangan Duolok). Target - Berlin, Germany. Lancaster aircraft was in a mid-air collision with Lancaster aircraft JB 674 and crashed near Waltham, Grimsby, England on December 17, 1943. Sergeant Wallace was in JB 674, was hospitalized, and succumbed to his injuries in January of 1944. FS J.R. Bateman and five of the crew, not Canadians, were all killed in the crash.
