75 New Zealand Squadron (Ake Ake Kia Kaha). TWIN BROTHER to Richard Douglas Tod. The crew of Stirling aircraft EH 889 took off on operations and was not heard from again. Warrant Officer R.D. Tod was also killed. Five of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Addendum: FS. J.L. Richards (RNZAF) and four RAF members of the crew, P/O. W. Stucky M.i.D., Sgt.s E. Grainger, R.A. Kennedy, and F/L. T.F. McCrorie were also killed.
