404 Buffalo Squadron (Ready To Fight). Beaufighter aircraft NE 341 was damaged by enemy action while attacking a six ship enemy convoy and then ditched in the sea thirty miles south-east of Christiansand, Norway.

The ditching was successful and both crew members were able to get out, Flying Officer Beribeau (pilot) made it to the dinghy, was captured and became a POW. Unfortunately F/Lt Taylor (navigator) did not survive. He became exhausted trying to get to the dinghy and drowned.
