77 Squadron (Ease Potius Quam Videri). Whitley V aircraft Z 6950 was shot down over the target. FS J.M. Boyd, Sgt(s) H.R. Elliott (RAF), W. Partington (RAF), and H.E. Roberts (RAF) were also killed. Addendum: - The squadron was based at Leeming when the aircraft went missing. The complete crew are all buried in the same cemetery as Stoll.
