626 Squadron (To Strike And Not To Yield). Target - Munich, Germany. Lancaster aircraft LL 961 crashed two miles south-west of Laon, France. Three Canadians, Flying Officer Yeaman, Rymer, FS Crowe, and two crew members, not Canadians, were all safe. One of the crew, not Canadian, missing believed killed. A mid-air collision is suspected as being the cause of the crash.
