500 County of Kent Squadron (Quo Fata Vocent). Ventura aircraft FP 633 was shot down in the sea by one of our own Beaufighter aircraft. Pilot Officer F.J. Schmidt, Flying Officer V.C. Pockson (RNZAF), Warrant Officer H.E. Parsloe (RAF), and Sergeant Taylor (RAF) were also killed.
