99 Squadron (Quisque Tenax), RAF Waterbeach. Wellington Ic aircraft T 2984 LN-B missing from bombing operations to the Krupp industrial complex over Essen, Germany. The aircraft was coned by searchlights and shot down by night fighter pilot Oberleutnant Günther Radusch of the Stab I/NJG 3 (detached to Stab I/NJG 1), who was flying a Bf 110 from Venlo airfield, the Netherlands, crashing near Molenbeersel, Belgium

Sergeant HM Robertson (RCAF) was one of three crew members who survived to be taken Prisoner of War when his aircraft was shot down 1941-07-04. Sergeant Robertson was shot and killed 1942-04-30 while trying to escape from a train while being transferred between prison camps and is buried in Poland
