It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. 43 Squadron (Gloria Finis). FS Reed was practising a low-level attack and was killed when his Hurricane aircraft Z 3068 struck high tension cables one and one half miles east of Whittingham at Thrunton Works, England.
