51 Squadron (Swift And Sure). Halifax aircraft LV 774 went down near Oldebroek, Holland during a night trip to Magdeburg, Germany. Five RAF members of the crew, Sergeants J. O'Sullivan, G.J. Bucknall, FS D. Entwistle, Pilot Officer J. Lanaghan, and Flying Officer J.A. Price were also killed. One crew member, not Canadian, taken Prisoner of War.
