158 Squadron (Strength In Unity). The crew of Halifax aircraft HR 734 took off on operations on the evening of July 3, 1943 and were not heard from again. Two RAF members of the crew, Sergeants D. Lock and E.D.C. Mackintosh were also killed. Four others of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed. Flight Sergeant Pilot Preston was buried at St.Trond, Belgium, exhumed, and reburied in the War Cemetery, Heverlee, Brabant, Belgium.
