It is signed by the late Bill Bryant RAF who was the navigator of that aircraft piloted by Bob Boorman RCAF. The caption reads "This Stars Stripes photograph was taken on 14 September 1944 and shows a Mosquito Mk XIII of 409 Squadron RCAF. 158 Squadron (Strength In Unity). Target - Berlin, Germany. Halifax aircraft JN 903 crashed in France due to enemy action while engaged in night operations to Berlin, Germany. Sergeants P.W. Cramb (RAF), S.W. Evans (RAF), P/Os DJ. Davies (RAF), and E. James (RAF) were also killed. Two of the crew, not Canadians, missing believed killed.
